CyanogenMod is the world most popular custom OS for Android devices and it has been installed on at least nine million devices around the world.
Installing CyanogenMod is not an easy task for a person with no technical skills, though there are many guides available on the XDA Forum which provides a lot of helpful information for the process of installation.
Now the CM Team has released a 1 click installer which will do all the installation processes automatically, including the process of unlocking the handset, downloading the correct OS variant for your device, and then offering the ‘One click’ to install it on your Smartphone via USB. The process takes around 10 minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection. Further updates to the Operating System take place over the air and are installed directly from the handset.
Currently the installation process requires a Windows running PC to complete the OS installation. Though the CM Team is working for a Mac OSX support too.
